Terms of Service

This page is maintained by the Imagine That team. Plain English where possible. Last updated August 2026.

Using Imagine That

By creating an account or placing an order, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service. These terms include important limits on cancellations and refunds for custom-made products — please read the ordering sections carefully before you buy.

Accounts & kids

You must be at least 18 to create an account. You're responsible for anything done under your account, including creations by kids on child profiles you set up, and for all orders placed from your account. Keep your password and parent PIN private.

Acceptable use

Don't use Imagine That to create or order anything that:

  • infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, or right of publicity;
  • is sexual, hateful, violent, or otherwise inappropriate — especially involving children;
  • promotes illegal activity, self-harm, or harassment;
  • impersonates a real person without permission.

See Content guidelines for detail. We may remove content and, in serious cases, close accounts that break these rules. Orders containing infringing or prohibited artwork may be canceled by us or by our production partner at any time; we refund the product price in that case.

Your content

You own the prompts, uploads, and designs created on your account. You give Imagine That a limited license to store them, produce them into physical products you order, and — only if you explicitly opt in — feature them in our gallery. We don't sell your content and we don't use it to train third-party models.

By uploading a photo or drawing, you confirm you have the right to use it and, where a person is shown, permission from them or their parent or guardian. You agree to cover any third-party claim that arises from artwork you supplied.

Made-to-order products

Every item is printed for you individually by our print-on-demand partner after you pay. Nothing is held in stock, so there is no restocking option. Because of that:

  • Orders can't be changed or canceled once production begins. Production usually starts within a few hours of payment. If you need a change, contact us immediately — we'll try, but we can't promise anything after the order is sent to production.
  • We can't accept returns or exchanges for change of mind, including wrong size ordered, wrong color ordered, wrong product chosen, or "it didn't look how I pictured it."
  • Size charts are shown on every product page before you add to cart. Please measure and check them — a size that fits differently than you hoped is not a defect.

Artwork, placement & previews

Before checkout you position your artwork on the product and confirm the placement. The preview mockup shows how your art will be printed, and we record the moment you approve it (it also appears on your receipt).

  • By approving placement you accept the artwork, size, crop, and position as shown. We print exactly what was approved.
  • Previews are simulations. Printed colors can differ modestly from your screen, and screens vary in brightness and calibration; normal color variation is not a defect.
  • Low-resolution or heavily zoomed uploads can print soft or pixelated. If we warn you about resolution and you continue, the result isn't eligible for a reprint.
  • Print position can vary by up to roughly half an inch on garments — this is standard for print-on-demand and not a misprint.
  • Spelling, names, dates, and any text you add are your responsibility. We print text exactly as entered.

AI-generated content

Designs are generated by third-party AI models. They may not always match your prompt exactly, and identical prompts can produce different results. Choosing an AI result and approving it for print means you accept it as-is; an AI output you later dislike is not grounds for a refund. Use of AI content is for personal, non-commercial purposes.

Shipping addresses & delivery

You're responsible for entering a complete, accurate shipping address. Orders that fail, are delayed, or are returned to sender because of an incorrect or incomplete address, an unattended delivery, or a refused package are not refundable, though we're happy to help you place a replacement order at cost where our partner allows it.

Delivery estimates are estimates, not guarantees. Carrier delays, customs, weather, and peak-season backlogs happen. Any import duties or taxes charged on international deliveries are the recipient's responsibility. See Shipping & returns.

Refunds & replacements

We'll reprint or refund an item at our option when something is genuinely wrong on our side or our printer's side:

  • the item arrives damaged, defective, or with a printing flaw;
  • you received a different product, size, or color than the one on your receipt;
  • the package is confirmed lost in transit by the carrier.

Contact us within 30 days of delivery with your order number and clear photos of the item and its packaging (for print issues, a photo of the full item plus a close-up). Approved claims are reprinted and reshipped free; if a reprint isn't possible we refund the item and its shipping. Please don't discard the item until the claim is resolved. Claims outside the 30-day window, or without photos, may not be accepted by our production partner and therefore can't be honored.

Refunds go back to the original payment method and typically appear within 5–10 business days. Filing a chargeback instead of contacting us first slows things down for everyone — please reach out and we'll sort it.

Orders & payments

Prices, shipping, and taxes are shown at checkout before you pay. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see your full card details. We may cancel an order and refund you if a product becomes unavailable, if a pricing or catalog error occurred, or if the order is flagged as fraudulent.

Gift cards

Gift cards are prepaid store credit. They don't expire, can't be redeemed for cash except where required by law, and are non-refundable once sent. Keep the code safe — we can't replace codes shared publicly or lost.

Imagine That Plus

Plus is a recurring subscription billed to your payment method until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from your plan page; access continues to the end of the current billing period. Partial periods and unused generation allowances aren't refunded. Included allowances reset on the schedule shown on the plan page and don't roll over.

Emails & communications

When you create an account we send you the emails you need — order confirmations, shipping updates, receipts, and account notices. By creating an account you also agree to receive occasional product news, seasonal reminders, and artwork recaps from us. You're opted in by default, and you can opt out at any time from the unsubscribe link in any of those emails or from the marketing preference toggle in your settings. Transactional emails about your orders and account will still be sent.

Service changes

We may add, change, or remove features. We'll try to give notice for anything meaningful — especially anything that affects saved creations. We may update these terms; material changes will be posted here with a new "last updated" date, and continuing to use the service means you accept them.

Warranty & liability

The service is provided "as is." To the extent allowed by law, our liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as missed occasions or gifting deadlines. Nothing here limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law in your country.
